I'm curious as to how submissions are reviewed, namely the time-frame in which this is done. I have 5 photos that have been waiting close to 2 months for review, yet a photo I submitted a couple weeks ago was approved within days. Even more odd is that I usually submit in groups of 4 or 5, and some will be approved right away, while the others seem to be forgotten about. Does anyone else have this experience? Is there something I should be doing differently? I know Keith and Paul are busy, and I don't mind being patient, this just seems weird tho.

Great question Amber, especially considering  the great quality of content you have been adding to Zymmetrical.

here are the elements that trigger our editing response team:

- Keywords: We first always look at visuals that are properly keyworded. No Keywords puts you at the end of the queue.
- Quality : File size , no artifact , no noise, no  ugly enhancements is also extremely important.
- Content: is the visual of commercial value ? You would be amazed how often this doesn't happen.
- Value: Is the visual appropriate for midstock?  Would someone pay a premium price, compared to microstock, for the visual.
-Timing: If your image is about Christmas and it was submitted in March, there is a good chance it will be accepted, but not as fast as a bunny picture.
- Originality : If your visual is different than  what is currently offered on Zymmetrical, it will be processed much faster.
- Content: Visuals need to fill  a need. Is  your art  fulfilling someone immediate  interest ?

Hope this helps..

If not, let us know and we would be more than happy to explain further.

Is there a easier way to see your rejected photos.
Maybe I am not looking in the right place but it seen ridiculous to have to look through all you port to find the rejected ones.

Sure, just click on the word 'Status' at the top of the approval status column in the Submissions Manager. This will sort the submissions by their approval status: Waiting, Rejected or Approved.

Thanks Paul, I really appreciate that! =) I'm sorry to have to ask you such a basic question, I feel like I should be able to figure this one out on my own, but how do I add keywords to my image? I did this once after an image was accepted, but the format's changed and I'm not sure how to anymore. And I never knew we could before it was accepted to begin with. I've looked at the forums and the wiki info, but to no avail. I haven't been using the ftp to upload my images tho, maybe that's why? Thanks for your help!

Amber, did you check the Art Manager? http://www.zymmetrical.com/account/artmanager/

'Update tags' should lead you the page to update keywords for a particular file. Note that we have a major upgrade for this area coming soon (number one priority: batch updates).
