Should 3d renders or non vector illustrations be submitted as Photo or as Graphic?
Thanks,

Hi Jerry,
Flat JPG files should now be submitted under the 'photos' upload section. Our Reviewers will assign a graphics category such as 'Graphics: 3d Renders'.
We have phased out the flat JPG from the Graphics upload page and only accept .EPS vectors there; it is easier to process all JPGs together, and all .EPS's together, instead of the way they were intermixed before.
Thanks! |

Hi Keith,
i have received a message from you today that tell me to upload my images in the Graphics queue. But my images are all rastered JPEG. I upload my images with the Flash mass upload and there is no way to select Photos or Graphics except in the category section. What i have to do for submit correctly my JPEG illustration? Thank's in advance

Hi Marco,
Thanks for your great uploads so far - we are busy optimizing our graphics upload section. You can see now that we have restricted the graphics uploads to .EPS only - this is because the vectors sell extremely well. While we would not want to exclude hand-drawn illustrations and other such JPG graphics, we are still moving in the vector direction as the main priority.
Thanks for your patience as we make this transition - I will make sure your currently uploaded JPG graphics get into the system. We are in a transition state, because it is of course easy to add IPTC keywords to a JPG graphic, but on the other hand, vectors sell more and for a higher price. So we want to balance the Artist's time vs. the income returned - it is always a dynamic process. |

Oops...I just tried to upload 15 raster illustrations. I accidentally submitted them under the "Photos" upload section which allows for jpgs, unlike the Graphics section.
You might want to update your help section. Under "Selling Graphics" it still says you can upload jpg illustrations as long as they're print quality, which is what I was hoping for. Bummer...I'm sorry to hear you only take EPS illustrations. I understand they sell more, and for more money, but it's a drag for those of us that actually "draw" our illustrations or who don't know vector software... :( |
