Hi Lorraine,
First off, as you may notice, i'm testing our new 'move message' function - this forum is a better fit for this subject matter.
1. We discuss this issue a lot amongst the Reviewer team, it may be the case that someone uploads one weekend, with the intent to describe them when they have some time the next weekend. Recently we've just been contacting the Artists who may have really old stuff lying around that we'd love to review, but is missing a release or keywords.
We are still in a transition period from the 'old submissions page' to the new one but it looks like we are wrapping up any stragglers. Communications with the Artist like this message, and the code/layout of the Submissions page are steadily converging to the point where I hope it is dead simple for all.
2. Seeing this problem occur again has given me the log info needed to ID and kill it, you should not be seeing that issue in your port again, sorry!
3. We make a judgement call on the keywords, we pay the Reviewers extra if they offer to take care of a large amount of missing keywords. We have some interesting keywording tools in the works as well.
Currently you can add keywords at two points: in the IPTC metadata before upload, or, one by one or copy n paste a batch of comma or semi-colon separated words in the 'Describe' area. The keywording option for already live files in the Art Manager is offline pending the new version of the Art Manager page.
4. Yes the function to move the files back to Describe in case of an easily resolvable problem like releases or keywords, is in our issue tracker and in the works. We don't lust after repeat uploads and reviews for the same files, just as much as you don't. :)
5. That's a tough one to code. When you consider our end goal is to have sub-hour approval times, it's hard. The main issue, code wise, is that a lot of the 'what file is the member/reviewer selecting' is done on their own desktop computer. So lets say a Reviewer has already picked up one of your files and has been working on it for 10 minutes (a very long time by review standards, but possible..). Then Pixart comes along and says 'hey, I need that file back'. Not only would it be logisitically difficult, there would be no easy way programming-wise to notify one the Reviewer that the member needs the file back.
This is why Zymm 2.0 will be a nationwide chain of Starbucks-like retail outlets - this internet stuff is sometimes more difficult then just sitting around in an office and working with people. :)
6. Yes I agree the reject slider navigation is not as usable as it first seemed. I guess on the bright side it slows people down from getting too angry at reviews too quickly. :)
Second msg: I think you will still run into the same issues that people simply click the wrong button sometimes. Even with graphic separations, popup warnings, etc. there will still always be false clicks. This is why your suggestions of a 're-Describe' possibility makes a lot of sense. We will continue to take in all these suggestions and work to smooth the Submissions page out.
