I think my best photo was one I took towards evening of a horse standing in front of a set of dead trees.  Somehow, the combinations were just right and it looked great.

I am now going to change my photos towards more saleable products but will continue with the nature ...just for me.

I have a couple of favourites, but, no surprises here-my best was of my daughter. It was one of a series of photos when she was 14 months old, and she was posing beautifully, turning on the charm.

Of course to anyone who is not her mother, it's just another baby.....

Britjojo, just so you know, [img] tags don't work here.

Instead, you can insert images directly via the Image Manager ( press CTRL-G or click on the icon with the mountain in the top right toolbar of the editor ).

It offers a wider variety of options for inserting pictures and hopefully is a little easier. Plus you can optionally save the pictures locally on our web server, so they'll never go out of date (also sometimes other websites don't like pictures being 'hotlinked' from their server on other peoples servers).

ps. cute kid. ;)

My favorite pic: A little spot in Fiji I like. A technical mess (sun flare, taken from a cheap disposable camera).. but if we're goingfor emotional faves this is mine.

Thank you :D I realised too late that the image tags didn't work. I'll use the forum tools in future.

I like your photo-the light effect especially. I have similar from a neighbourhood walk but it isn't yet hosted.

I should find it and scan it, but one I took in August 1997 in Pebble Beach, California. It was a simple ocean scene, but beautiful.

It was a photo of an orangutan raising one arm up to beg. It was somehow very powerful, not to mention the wonderful red color.

I get what is being sai, I think that once you get to the point where you are taking so many photos, they never become satisfying. You are always wanting to do more.

Personally, Keith, I LOVE sun spots/ solar flares, "technical mess" or not! I actually put them in my photos intentionally sometimes. To each their own, I guess. =)

The best photo that I have is of my cat when she was sleeping. I took in black and white on my digital camera. Came out perfectly.

I think that the best photo I have ever taken was about a year ago, of my son. He was 1.5 at the time and I found him sitting outside looking directly in the eyes of a chicken that was standing about 2 feet from him. It looked very cute and tons of people have commented about how good it was.

I have a number of really great pictures that were taken at the ocean.  There are some of waves and others of fishing boats and even dolphins, but my very favorites are of sunrise.  Seems that there's never a sunrise exactly like another and I never get tired of photographing it.

The best one I've probably taken was just of some fallen over trees in front in a ravine while hiking through Niagara. It's nothing too special but it has a lot of nice atmosphere to it and reminds me of a good summer.

My best photo was when I was a kid. My family and myself took a picture at an amusement park. Though this may sound weird, this was the only time we were very happy.

My best photo ever (which I will try to find and scan in - it's an old snapshot) for both technical (by chance) and emotional reasons was a snapshot of a duck on the beach at my family's vacation spot in Maine. I was lying on the towel on the sand and picked my head up to see a duck mommy and 3 ducklings standing about 2 feet from me. I snapped the picture and was amazed how it came out. In the backgroudn, the setting sun and the blue water with a long dock jutting out. The golden sand in ripples - each one burnished with light - and the ducks in the foreground with amazing detail visible. It was rather strange how incredibly clear the pic was.

Ok I am dying to see these photos. Here is one of my daughter on her birthday I just love it! I am by far no professional but I think that is a great shot. I want to see pictures I will be waiting :)

I'm never satisfied with my photos, though I find that the best pictures I take are when I set the camera mode to grayscale and get some classic pictures of various family members. It just sets the mood, and the colors are nice and soothing. Not that I don't mind color mind you, I just haven't learned how to take a good color photo yet!

I like how it looks like everything is leaning, except for the cow in the very front. He has cute ears too (as dumb and girly as that sounds...) =)
