I have a question for everyone who has or does sell their work. How do you get over that fear? You know the one I'm talking about. The little nagging voice in the back of your head that keeps saying, "What if no one likes it? What if it's not nearly as good as you think it is?"
I know it's silly. Maybe I'm the only one who has that little voice in my head. I say little voice, but for some reason it has a thick Italian accent. (j/k lol)
My husband keeps telling me that it's sink or swim, all or nothing. But then again, he doesn't have a passion for taking pictures like I do. They're my world. I can take 500 pictures on a 2 hour car ride. I might only keep 20 of them, but I take them all the time.
I know I rambled a little bit here, and I'm sorry for that.
Any suggestions on how to get over that 'hump' will be greatly appreciated.

I know exactly what you are talking about, partly because I still have yet to overcome that fear. Everytime Im about to sell a piece I always decide not to out of fear. |

I'm the same way. Sure my friends and family like them, but then I think, "Maybe they're just saying that because they know me." My husband can be critical at times though. He's looked at pictures of mine and told me point blank, "That looks like crap. Don't keep it." |

They always say we are our own worst critic. I say take a chance and see what happens. You'll never know unless you try. |
