Hello:
My name is Josh and i'm obviously new here. I have many years in the web design field ranging from graphic design to web development. Since the age of 13 I have very much enjoyed digital art and digital photography. I even went as far in being certified when I was 14 with Photoshop on the old Apple Mac days.
I also help my girlfriend run her "Pictures to DVD" business, which is doing quite well. This website looks really cool, and i'll definitely be hanging around to see what is new.

Hi Josh,
Welcome..!
The Pictures to DVD business brings me back.. the first company I ever started was called 'Clonomatix' and it's service was to make short-run CD & DVD orders for bands, artists, etc.
We had a Primera CD duplicator robot (such awesome toys) and a really cheap 'straight off the boat from Taiwan' CD supply place up the street.. alas, it's a very difficult business. So easy to make tiny mistakes and you've just ruined 500 CD's.
There was the time when the customer requested paper jackets for the CD's and we ended having to hand-glue 1000 jackets.. only to have to do it all over because we ended up getting glue all over the damn CD's.
Plus we offered pick up and delivery service in the city, which made it reallly interesting sometimes when you show up at a musicians place. Sometimes a classical singer, sometimes punk rock bands. :)
The business lacked what every business needs most; proper marketing, and so died on the vine. Fun while it lasted though.. I wish I had $15,000 sitting around to get another Primera CD robot, they are great.

Yea.. I hear you about marketing it can be a pain in the butt. And this is coming from someone who is a marketing director for a lead generation company. My g/f does pretty good as she is a really good business woman, plus she makes really good contacts.
Good contacts, savy on the phone, plus being the quickest to the punch will get you a winning attitude. |

It's a great start dude, this things happen in the life of everyone. Starting with a small incident turns to be a carrier for may. And that too happened in your life too. Start rocking the forum with happy posts in zymmetrical forum. |
