I have a new job !!!
And I'm so excited that I want to tell it, lol. :D

I was a student (multimedia and design), and now I have to work the whole day, 5 days a week. That's a big change!!! (students are really lazy, and I was no exception)

It's at a design company and I love it.
My main task is to design 3 flash games for a website. I have to think about what's good for the company, what kind of games are good for their message, etc. Then I have to draw everything, and then code it.

And I also get some illustrator projects, because I'm better with that program than them !!! lol!

It's really cool, but I'm really tired. Not used to getting up from bed so early!

I can use the newest mac (computer screen is the whole computer), and a wacom tablet (it's so smooth !!!).

Designer, really is a great job!

That's awesome Nancy..

Don't worry, if the jobs interesting you'll be able to get up early and stay there all day. I worked in a snowboard factory for 4 years in my teens, never thought I could get up 6am every day and punch a clock, but the job was great so I kept at it, and did really well at it..

Now working in an office is a slightly different matter, you have to know when you're getting bored and move on - just like dating. It takes a lot of time before you can find out the best work environment to participate in.

Given that you're in a Dutch company, making flash games, I think you'll not get bored easily.. just make sure they compensate you properly, I often see design places pushing recent students into the mud, just because they lack experience- low pay, no security, etc. The key should be whether they perform the job well, which can be quickly seen after a couple weeks.

Congratulations on the new job, nancy!

Sometimes I find I have trouble sleeping in on the weekends if I've been getting up really early, so I just get up to keep the routine going. There have been other times when I've had to go right to bed after getting home from work.

I'm sure you'll find your groove.

You are right Nancy, being a student for years and years. Suddenly turning to be a employee is very tough and I think that what happened to you. Don't worry, it will be ok, once you love that job. Start loving your job then it would become more interesting to you. Carry on , my best wishes.
