What kind of job do you have?
I'm interested to what kind of jobs buy pictures, and what kind of jobs the artists here have. So please also tell if you are an artist or a client.

I'm an artist here. (my illustrations are in the waiting list)
I don't have a job yet, but I study Multimedia and Design.
In february I will do some job experience at a design company, and make illustrations for them. To practise my art and illustrator skills I make and sell stock illustrations.

I am in advertising. We do mainly posters that go up in shopping malls at the directory units. But I take pictures, as well.

I don't really work in art. I'm more of a hobbyist you could say. Most of my works are basically making wallpapers or other graphics on Photoshop. At the moment I'm learning how to use Cinema4D. I don't have much involvement in professional art other than what I do as a hobby.

Clothing design, do you also work in designing of accessories and stuff? Actually I would really love for someone to design and make me my own wallet. That'd be the greatest thing ever for me since my wallet is with me more than my phone. =D

My daughter has always been so good at drawing clothes and she wanted to be a designer so bad until she found out that at school, she would also have to make the clothes, and she chickened out.  What a shame!  She has real talent.

I have a good friend who trained in 3D Graphics and Digital Art, but it turned out her skills on the sewing machine (and especially the conceptual design of clothes) has really worked out better for her.

Now she designs snowboard clothing and stuff for fashion labels and get's to travel around to lots of different cities for contracts..

I think a strong basis in digital design, working with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. is a secret weapon for a lot of careers.

I'm actually a full time farm hand. It is surprising how many great photos you can find on a 6000 acre grain farm :)

I'm sure! I'd love to be a farm hand! Not full time, though, I don't think.

As for me, aside from dabbling in my sister's business ventures and doing random freelance work, my main occupation's being...my mother's son. Oh, and working on getting some form of college degree.

I work on film sets as a standin and background performer. I used to work full-time as a musician and I still supplement my income with some music money. I also sell freelance writing online.

I've messed around with modest audio and video projects of my own, but I'd also like to look into selling stock photography.

Very interesting things you dabble in, Taggart!

By modest audio and video projects to you mean independent producing and filmmaking? I think there's a fair market for stock videos (and possibly stock backing track music) out there, too!

Hi Flutes. My video production is very modest indeed so far. I shot some video with my digital camera, and added some production music which I recorded and some sound effects from online.

I have sold some production music online for the first time last year, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with that.

I honestly don't know why but I'm v.excited for you. I''ve been seriously considering studying filmmaking and the one thing that's always bothered me's-- come actualy filmmaking thesis time (v.positive thinker, I am)-- finding the perfect backing track minus the v.expensive copyright legalities. Although I've always thought of jamming a lot of my original written music in there, too. Sort of like High Fidelity, only kind of not.

I am self employed and work from home. I do independent contractor work.

I love the flexibility of being able to Set my own schedule and being able to be home with my children.

I would like to take pictures and advertise them on the internet to see if I could make money off of them. I am a mother of girls. I look for many jobs to make an income. I believe if I stick to it and work really hard I can do it.
