My wife and I just got our first digital photo frame at Christmas time and I like it, but still think that I prefer traditional frames. For one, digital frames are kind of cost prohibitive to having a lot of them.
So, what does everyone think about them? Do you have digital frames? What sizes and brands do you use?

I know a few people who got digital picture frames for Christmas and while I do think that they're a neat idea I don't prefer them over traditional frames. A lot of them sort of end up looking quite cheap but I do think that the technology is great and can probably be used for very cool things as they become more common. |

I see people selling digital photo frames all the time but the idea was never appealing to me. Traditional photo frames are still best at home. I think it is something that gives accent around your house, wherever it may be found. Digital photo frames may be useful for you if you have limited space though. |

I'm afraid that I prefer traditional frames, too. I like looking for special frames and there are some lovely frames available. I don't think I'll be changing to digital anytime soon.

I prefer traditional frames. I was given a digital photo frame by a friend as a birthday gift last year and another friend gave me another digital photo frame (a bigger one) as a Christmas present. I keep them in my room. |

i don't any, but my uncle is really keen on getting one, it is novel, but after a while it's the same? with traditional frames you don't every have to worry if they spoil or if the batter runs out of some fault happening with it, that's one thing for sure.
The conviences and the novelty of digital frames are alluring too... so i guess it all depends if you think its worth it or not |

I'm not a big fan of digital photo frames myself. I prefer the traditional frames. For Christmas I always get ones for my grandparents, my inlaws, m husband's grandparents, and my parents. I include pictures that were taken through the year of our daughter and family. Since we all live in different states, and we don't get to see each other very often. They like it. |

I'm yet to meet anyone who has a digital photo frame actually. There's a few reasons I'd rather have a traditional one, the main one being the prices of digital ones are still astronomical. Half the fun of framing a photo or picture for display is choosing a frame that's perfect for it in my eyes. I'd miss that part of the process.
Also with a regular one if it gets dropped and broken, it's not going to be the end of the world nor that costly to replace. Perhaps I'd look at them with more interest in six months time when the prices are less but for now, I'd pass.

We actually don't have any although we did give some to the grandparents for Christmas. Personally I don't really have a need for one, especially until the price comes down. it was a nice gift for the grandparents though as they love showing it off to their friends.

We do not have and I don't think I know anyone who does have them. I would prefer using a traditional frame because part of the fun is picking out the perfect frame for the perfect picture.

I personally have not found any that I liked so I have not used. I do know that with some of the newer programs they have more appealing frames. As time goes on the graphics have become much more eye catching.
