Recently I went to a shop for purchasing a new digital camera.Good models of digital cameras had such prices that on which I can easily buy a camcorder.I had just asked the same question to the seller.But his answer was-Camcorder doesn't take good still picture than digital camera.Will you agree with this view ?

My aunt has both a digital camera and a camcorder. I was able to try using both and I would have to agree. Pictures taken with a camcorder are of lower quality than ones taken with a digital camera. Camcorders are more for just videos. They're bulkier too.

I have both and photos taken by a camcorder are not as good as a digital camera, afterall digital cameras are made for taking photos, plus they can take pretty decent videos too... not as good as a camcorders' but good enough, and also digital cameras are getting less bulky and easy to carry around.. amking taking photos or videos on impromptu a breeze... most camcorders are alot bulkier than the digital cameras

I was wondering which was better too. I have a friend who swears by his camcorder but doesn't have a digital camera. I have a digital camera and I love it. I probably won't ever buy a camcorder.
