With the advent of digital photography, taking photos has never been cheaper.  No longer do you need to limit what you shoot in the interest of conserving film.  You are only limited by the memory cards you take with you.

So, how many digital photos do you have saved?  Also, how do you store them?

I would say that I have about 15,000 photos saved on my hard drive.  I also save them to a file server I have running in the house.  Then, at the end of the year, I usually back up everything to DVD and store photos in a safe.

I have no idea how many digital photos we actually have stored... but thousands. We put them on DVD, too, and store them in a safe.  I like to have many of them printed out, though... I'm a traditionalist in that way.  There's nothing like a scrapbook or photo album.  :-)

I hear you there.  I have printed off a ton of photos and framed them.  I would say that we have more pictures of family and friends hanging in our house than most people I know.  My wife really drives this though.  Lately, she has said that she wants a digital photo frame.  Not one of the small ones, but something at least 14".  I have looked in to them and something that large can get expensive!

I have far too many digital photos as well. It's so much easier to keep folder upon folder of them saved on your computer but the best solution I've found so far is to sort through them right away and get rid of the bad ones. It's not the worst thing in the world to have a huge collection of photos though and this is a luxury that technology has allowed us with digicams.

I have TONS. Mostly because I have two incredibly cute kids. :) I take about twice as many as I have, however, and weed out the bad ones rather vigorously. I don't print many out unless I'm sending them to relatives or displaying them. I do like to collect landscape photos too. I have big files for events and trips I've taken complete with photos and captions/journals.

I also have tons of photos =) mostly I save them in an external harddisk, as well as on all the computers that I have, seperated into the appropriate fodlers of course (makes finding something so much more easier) lol some of them were burnt into cds and dvds.
