Which is better, do you think? Photoshop or PaintshopPro?
I have Adobe Photoshop, but I've used PSP a few times. I like Photoshop better than PaintshopPro.
What about you?

I've never worked with PSP, although I regularly use it's sibling, CorelDraw. I still think that PS pretty much sets the standard for image editing software. I'd like to play with PSP though, if given the oppurtunity.

I haven't used PaintShopPro that much because I'm very much into Photoshop. I'm not even sure if PaintShopPro has masking capabilities.

Photoshop is by far the best thing on the market. I admit when you first use it it can be a bit intimidating but once you start to understand it you will never turn back.

I would like to learn one of these, but have found PaintShopPro to be easier, minlu because it is free, or at least was, I am not sure of the current status. Also it seems to be covering the start up requirements I have.

I have used both, but I have preferred PSP. I have found it to work better for me.

Me too, and I think PSP is more user friendly. But that`s maybe because I`ve used PSP more than PS though.

I think it probably has to do with what you start out with.  You get confortable and then any change is difficult?  At least for me it is.

I had used PhotoShop . I am satisfied with that. i am not a professional. I use this just to create new pictures out of my old ones. I never used PSP. May be it will be easy, but i don't know much about that.

I was not at all impressed with Coral Draw when I used it.

I don't use either of these programs because of cost, instead I have just installed the GIMP and am wanting to learn to use. Supposedly it can do what photoshop does, but being open source it doesn't have the price tag.

I haven't use PSP yet, and I am contented working with my Photoshop. Don't have any plan to switch yet.

I currently use Photoshop. I just upgraded from CS2 to CS3 and have to say I love it. I noticed a speed boost right away. I have used PSP before, but the features and layout of the program never caught on with me. I actually used it before ever touching Photoshop, but I fell in place with PS a lot easier.

I've never used Photoshop, though I understand it is the ultimate graphics program out there. I've always used PaintShopPro. Everything from version 8 on really has pretty much everything PS has. Yes, you can do masking in PSP.

And Gizmo - when was it free? Wow. I paid for mine. :(

I have never used either of them and most likely, I never will. I don't see the need to pay for something when there is another program that works just as good for free. I have used GIMP ever since I began grpahic design and always will

I haven't tried PaintShopPro but have been happy enough working within my capabilities with Photoshop. GIMP is pretty good and I mentioned elsewhere that I had tried it before but because I'm familiar with Photoshop it's the one I always want to work with.

I have never used PaintShopro, so my best bet would be Photoshop. I think that Photoshop dominates the world of editing. This is the one that is used by most digital artist. PainShopPro on the other hand has quite made an impact for itself, but I could say that it would take some time to beat PhotoShop.

It is true that Photoshop is the gold standard, I'd guess you'd say. GIMP being free really makes it attractive. I did download it, but never downloaded the information and manual for it, so didn't really know how to do anything. Since I'm happy with my PSP, I will probably not bother.

I also use GIMP. Photoshop is probably the better tool, but you can do with GIMP what you can do with photoshop - at least most of it. I also like the price of GIMP! It is free!!!
