When I try resize the pictures might be enlarging or shrinking I loss the quality in my pictures. It happens to me frequently. Which is the best software for resizing the images and photos without losing the quality?

with enlarging you always loose quality. I know adobe photoshop has made a product which is pretty good in enlarging pictures, but it's still in beta. I saw AMAZING results with it allready tough. You can try to google for "enlarging plugin photoshop" or "enlarging software". It had a special name but I can't remember it :( But I actually NEVER enlarge pictures. I advice also don't do that, and wait 3 years untill that product will be on the market :)

For shrinking images you also always loose quality, but this quality loss shouldn't be visible.
Just shrink your pictures with Adobe Photoshop... but actually any other bitmap program will do the job just fine...

I saw the results with the plugin too. They were awesome. You would always loose quality when resizing. When you shrink images, they loose some detail. If you enlarge the same image again, they get pixelized. The best bet would be to install the plugin.

There is a good review of several of the current photoshop plugins available here

Have a look and see what you think.

I think photoshop is only good for a few things but I try to keep my options open to new things because there is always a software out there that can do much more.
