With JPEG considered a lossy format, does anyone here really uses TIFF to save their precious images? TIFF uses too much space and I have not really considered using it. But the questions is, do you pros use it?

I tend to not be much concerned with space... probably less so than I should be... but I save as TIFF with layers out of PS more often than anything else.

I dont use at all, it does take up alot of space, but I dont see the advantagess as far as I am concerned it doesnt give any more detail to the image (could be wrong).
Part of my work is to make sure it is ready for the web, it wouldnt suit the web for two reasons:
> Loading Times - optimisation
> Browsers dont display TIFFs (well some).

I don't use them anymore because of the space requriements. I prefer the jpg and of course the psd format. I used to save as tiff when I was using Corel Draw.

Juni, do you not find that .psd files are generally bigger than layered .TIF files?
My mom turned me on to the idea of layered .TIFs back when the feature first became available; and I must say I've found it hard to turn back. I don't often save .jpgs or other 'flat' files permanently. If I have a document that needs further editing, then I need the layers intact, and for me TIF saving has been a good solution. :)

I haven't used TIFF in a very long time. There was a program I used that supported the format and I don't remember what it is. But when gradually I found more problems with adding the images to web pages, I stopped using it.
