Do anyone use a website like YouTube.com to publish the motion pictures that you have made?

I heard roumers that YouTube.com would start sharing their revenue with the motion pictures that reach a number of views per month. Have anyone used this option?

For great web hosting go to http://cpb-network.org

Only viewed videos from there occasionally.

how reliable is that rumor?
I think it'll be true if YouTube starts to charge people membership fees for viewing video clips on their site. Or the revenue comes from Google's AdWords/AdSense programs.

and won't there be a loophole? People can get friends and family to view their videos so that they can get the hits.

I find youtube very entertaining but have not heard about this rumour.  As the above post says, it could be manipulated if they do but there are always people trying to cheat the system.  I personally have never uploaded a video but am glad there are people who do.

YouTube is fun and I always get links from friends and other websites.
Let me get some of their revenue :)

No, i haven't do that . But i had shared that using rapidshare. I dont know about You tube. But it must be a rumour that it will take money from the viewer to see the motion pictures.Google haven't taken any money from customers till now!

We do post many of our music videos and some short films on YouTube, unless we are reserving it for a major production deal. YouTube really has made viewing accessible.

I haven't heard about YouTube sharing revenue, but that would be a great idea.

I've been surprised at the older video I've seen on YouTube, including a clip which I believe is from The Johnny Cash show with The Guess Who performing Share the Land.

I frequently put my videos on youtube, but only for personal use. I have family all around the world and this helps us to stay in touch.

I think it would probably be structured in such a way that you'd need significantly more hits for a payment than would be practical even with the help of friends and family.

But I still think that it's a good idea.

I notice that other digital content sites are now hosting video as well.

In some cases, they'd specialize in stock footage. I'm not sure how much money could be made from those sites that have a variety of content offered.

I do post video online, but the only service I have ever used is YouTube. Most of the videos I upload are unedited, but some are edited with iMovie. I haven't heard about any kind of revenue sharing, but that would be pretty cool if they came up with a program.

I haven't posted anything yet but YouTube is also good just to get some more exposure for your work. I had heard about potential revenue sharing coming into play but I don't know when that would start happening. I wouldn't count on it as a sure thing just yet.

If I could make a little cash with my photos, that would be great, but if not, then it really doesn't affect what I will or will not post on YouTube. It is a great way to communicate videos to family and friends who live far away. My mom has been able to see my kids grow up while she lives in another area of the country.

Yeah it's definitely handy for that kind of sharing as well. Do you make slideshows for her because that's always a great way to display a lot of pictures in an entertaining fashion.

I have made her slideshows, but I have not posted them on YouTube. I usually use iPhoto to make the slideshow and then iDVD to burn the slideshow to DVD. Then I send it to her in the mail. I also have a subscription to .Mac, so I also use the Web Galleries functionality and my Mom can view photos that way also.

That's a good way to do it as well. I guess the only snag with slideshows would be trying to pick music that your mother would like. Haha. I know that would be the hardest part about making good ones for my father.

I do not think this rumor is true. I have been there for a month and haven't heard anything like that.

Youtube rocks in such cases. I great appreciate the step taken forward and look how much pleasure it is giving to the community. I have not uploaded any video but yes I do view a lot of them and they arent only on entertainment, there are also video tutorials, so Youtube si a great help to community.

You're absolutely right, youtube is sharing revenue for your uploaded videos.I love watching videos there & rarely upload videos. So I've never tried to earn money from my uploaded videos there.I also like metacafe.com for viewing online videos.

I have never posted videos on Youtube, but I really enjoy watching videos there. I especially like the ones where local talents are performing. I also like alot of the cooking videos. I have gotten several great recipes just by watching Youtube.

I have never used any sites to upload my videos, however I like you tube. I love the animal videos they have on there especially the cat ones since I am a cat lover.
I think it would be great of them to share there revenue with those who participate.

That would be an awesome idea! I would use them for sure if you could make some decent money there. My kids are forever making goofy videos of each other and the silly tricks they've taught our dogs.
