A Showcase for Mobile Shorts at 3GSM

At a recent press conference, Robert Redford, actor, director, founder and president of the Sundance Institute, announced a unique collaboration with the GSM Association. "The Sundance Film Festival: Global Short Film Project" will exclusively premier five films by six independent filmmakers during its opening ceremony.
In a unique industry pilot project the Sundance Institute and the GSMA have joined together to use the mobile phone as the 'fourth screen' medium to showcase and extend the reach of independent short films to mobile users worldwide.
The filmmakers will work with a limited budget, time and resources to make a 3-5 minute film for the mobile screen. Attendees to the 3GSM World Congress will be given exclusive download access to these films at the Sundance Institute booth in hall 7.

| Thanks for posting that article. It reminds me of reading in a publication by the American Federation of Musicians that the music industry is now recognizing "gold" status for ringtones.
I believe the amount of downloads for gold is 500,000. | |
