Yes, usually newer routers have built-in firewalls, but I have one extra so I`m secure :)

Just give me a hint if you need any weburls for the programs or any help.

I forgot to mention that I also use the virus protection that Yahoo provides. It seems to work fine alongside Norton.

I have the most basic Norton program, along with AVG. The two seem to catch anything coming at them. I also use search and destroy and adaware and seem to be doing ok with those.

I am using Nod32 anti virus system. I am satisfied with its performance. It is better than the Nortan Antivirus because it is not heavy at much as the Norten and it is also very efficient.

I recommend it!

Norton can be very system intensive. This is why I like Norton Scan-it runs when you tell it to. AVG can be set to either run high priority, and so run fast, or take low priority and take longer but not slow your system so much. It's a useful option.

I don't like using bigger antivirum softwares like norton or avg.
I have Antivir, I keep updating it often so it works just fine for me.

I currently have zonealarm right now.which is a free software. It's ok, I think I might go with Charter's security software soon.

I have a Norton suite of antivirus products that's part of my ISP package. So far I haven't had any problems with it.

A few years ago, I did get the sasser worm, but I didn't have any protection at the time.

I Think some times when you have way too much security, it begins to block your activity.

Nah what blocks your activity is when you have too many different virus programs on your computer. You aren't suppose to have more than one type of program on your computer, if you do then that will clash with other programs as well as the function of your computer.

AVG has a tendency to start on its own and that eerks me so bad. I like Norton a whole lot better.

I need to actually find me a different virus protector. I took my old one off and I'm still not protected I don't think I 'm anyway.
