| Hi,
I just had an upgrade on my phone and my new Samsung D900i has a 3 megapixel camera. I am amazed with the quality of the pictures it takes and how easy it is to use. The other month I sent some picture of a truck that had crashed to a local paper from my cellphone.
I am always using my cellphone as a backup photo / camera to capture photos as they happen, and it is easier to carry as a camera.

| | What a great idea now that the quality is up there to use your camera to photograph a wreck. Do you sell your photos to the paper often? Keep up the great work. | | | |

| | It really is amazing how much more advanced the camera phones now are. The problem always used to be with memory, so I wonder; how many photos are you able to take, at highest resolution? | | | |

| haha now the memory cards are advanced too. so the limiting factor is the memory card size, besides battery of cos. =)
anyway, i'm surprised the quality of the photos from sony ericsson camera phone is much better than my first 2MP Panasonic D.Camera.

| | So this doesn't rely on internal memory only? It takes a separate, removable memory card? This I did not know.... We are now crossing the boundaries between camera/phone/music player and so on. It gets confusing. | | | |

| some phones still relies on internal memory just like mine now. but there are already phones in the market that allows u to insert external memory cards/sticks or whatever they call it.
yeah... that's how fast technology advances!

| | Yes, technology in the past twenty years has moved somewhat swiftly. By the time you got your snazzy camera phone home, charged, and got to the point that you were comfortable using it, it was already out of date. | | | |

| I like the idea of a 3MP or higher camera phone. The only bad thing is that if you have Verizon, good luck getting the pictures off the phone without paying. That is bull in my opinion.

| There are more and more cellphones out in the market equipped with camera. I have seen cellphone cameras that have better resolutions. It's really great to have one so that you can still take pictures since we do not have our cameras with us all the time.

| | agreed, with technology these days has been improving drastically, I won't be surprised when there comes a day when a camera phone is almost as good as a digital camera... with faster shuttle speed... camera phones are starting to become an indispensible part of our lives | | | |
