That would depend on your usage of the camera, habits and preferences. With the many functions that come with today's digital cameras it can get a little overwhelming at times. If you forgot to charge your battery and it is low on battery before or when you are using it, and the fact that there is no outlet for you to recharge your digital camera; that can be a disadvantage.

When the LCD display doesn't work or if there was some sort of malfunction with the software or if the external memory card you were using was or becomes corrupted. As with all electronic devices, digital cameras are not perfect and have their quirks =)

The only thing that comes to my mind when I heard of the disadvantage of the digital camera is that it is much expensive compared to the analog type. Other than that I couldn’t think of anything else.

Have you ever heard of Lomography? It's a company that makes toy-analog cameras which have neat little effects to them. I have one that divides the pictures into four parts- so you can basically capture a moving object in one photo.

I love analog cameras, and I would never give up having at least one. The only disadvantage that digital cameras have is probably the price difference, though.

Really thanks iceprincessa.Beautiful information you've provided here. And what you've mentioned about LCD display, I think that's the problem for all new electronic display devices.

krrish glad that the information was somewhat useful =) it really depends on what you think is more worth it... as with all electronic devices, as you said, there are bond to be disadvantages specific to such products as such with non-digial products. you just have to decide which one is more worth the cost and which cons you are more happy to love with I guess... there is no such thing as a perfect product in this world afterall =)

I use both and I do appreciate the features of both cameras. I think one of the factors considered in buying a digital camera would be the price. In general, both have advantages and disadvantages.
